How does galleryxone work?
The app automatically organises the photos on your phone into categories. To do this thumbnails (smaller versions) of each image are uploaded to our servers where they are identified and tagged using our image recognition technology.
They are then matched against a number of pre-set categories and displayed back to you in the categories screen of the app.
How much does the service cost?
The service is free to users, however if the app is set to categorise images using mobile data there could be cost associated. You can go to settings to switch mobile data on or off.
What is a thumbnail?
A thumbnail is a smaller version of a photograph that is stored on your phone. These are normally used to quickly display your photos, without the phone having to load full sized images.
We use these smaller versions of the images to make it quicker and cheaper to categorise your photos. If you are using Wi-Fi only, it is unlikely this will incur any cost.
What happens to my images?
The thumbnails we use to categorise your images are temporarily stored on our servers.
These remain secure, private and anonymous. Neither Vodafone or any third parties can use these images for any purpose other than improving the accuracy, intelligence and function of our image recognition technology.
